Hmm, just rereading this post of Lord Punctual's (where have you gone, LP Detective ?) and can't understand why I didn't think on it before seems so obvious! Yes, Witted ones do take on personality traits and mannerisms of their Wit partners, so why shouldn't Elderlings do the same...dragons are, after all, animals.

When Fitz talks about communication with dragons and the voice in the Skill river etc, he talks about that different sense that is a combination of both Wit and Skill...possibly it is this other sense that also allows the physical changes during the Elderling transition? I must think on this some more (though it has nothing to do with cats...or does it Turned ?)!

I was only thinking of Fool and cats the other day, and wondering about Fool's habit of doing the whole forehead-to-forehead thing with Fitz (the one I now do with my husband! Blushing ). I don't seems a kind of cat-like mannerism to me?! P

A young female cat is called a molly because 'Molly' is a nickname for Mary i.e. a virgin.
