Now reading The Black Jewels trilogy by Anne Bishop. Seems quite good so far but I'm only a few pages in so not an awful lot to tell just yet.
The first book in the previously mentioned trilogy is now read, and 'thul will start reading the second.

The book is a highly recommended read.

It would appear that one of the authors is more commonly seen as a movie director, working on numerous good movies. (like directing the Hobbit movies).
That certainly explains some of the quality of the book.
The Black Jewels is really quite good. There are one or two little annoyances, mainly regarding the use of adjectives and adverbs, in that they're quite repetitive at times. Nonetheless, it's a good 'adult' fantasy which I'm enjoying very much.

Ahhh, so book 4 by Paolini is out now, is it? I absolutely cannot read it without re-reading the others, first. It's just been way too long. Ouch

So glad the beings enjoyed Martin's vampires! Now that you're done with it AND Paolini, go grab a copy of Windhaven! Clapping

These beings still have one Guillermo del Toro and Chuck Hogan book to go through.
rereading Eragon, Eldest and Brisingr is a good idea, even with the few-page transcript of them included on the first few pages of Inheritance.
Perhaps put in an order for Inheritance from your favored book supplier, then start reading the others while it is in transit?
Ahhh, I've had that Guillermo del Toro book on my desk for about 6 months now and I have yet to pick it up. I love Pan's Labyrinth and some of the other movies he's directed so when I found out he had written a Vampire novel I had to pick it up.

Glad to see you recommend it. Smiling
all three were good. (trilogy)

The end wasn't really expected until quite a distance into the third book, though many things were unknown even longer...
Pan's Labyrinth is a most excellent film. One of very few films that makes me cry every time.
I read the new Star Wars novel Revan today. The KOTOR games have some of the best writing and story arcs in the Star Wars universe (or, anywhere!! /grandioseoverstatement), so I was really looking forward to the novel, seeing as it seems KOTOR 3 is pretty much never going to happen.

....I'm going to pretend it never came into existence. Dodgy I vastly preferred the mystery.

And it's pretty much dampened my enthusiasm for the new MMO they're releasing as I know now for certain that there probably will be little to no development off KOTOR. Dodgy
These beings are going to test a bit on SWTOR sometime, having acquired the ability to beta-test it.

The stories between the two are vastly different, redchild. For one, they occur in different eras. some 300 years between them.

Have you watched the trailers for The Old Republic?
