200 pages in to the 3rd book in the Mistborn trilogy. Big Grin
I stayed up until 1:45am this morning reading Cecelia Ahern's PS I Love You...there's no other time spare in my life for reading so... Sleeping

I enjoyed the book very much but this is one of those rare times (actually, I don't think it's ever happened to me before Undecided ) where I think I would prefer the movie more. Of course, that could have something to do with Gerard Butler...and not the plot! P
these beings are practically done re-reading eragon, but summer-warm days combined with excellent weather makes reading less natural.
I don't know what to read next; Mockingjay or Shaman's Crossing..decisions, decisions!
Shaman's Crossing! It is not the RotE (but what other series is?!) but I really enjoyed the Soldier Son series. Even if you are one of those who doesn't (and there are/have been a lot), I think it gives great insight into Robin's thinking as a writer and I believe it will give you an even greater understanding of the 'ascendancy' aspects of the RotE, despite the fact that the two worlds are not related.

More than that, and to avoid having spoilers for either series placed here, you'll have to wait until you've finished SS and then join us in the Gernia forum! Wink Although I think Albertosaurus Rex had a thread going for each of the books so we can just as easily chat even after just SC. Smiling
Ah now, I went with Mockingjay, but having read the first couple of chapters, I'm not really feeling it. Probably because I have a 'Hobb' on the shelf winking at me and just begging to be read! I think I'll have to leave the former and go with my heart. I finished FF last night (teared up again!) so am in the 'Hobb zone' as it were! PBookMagic
I plan to read next The Amazing Maurice and his Educated Rodents by Pratchett.
It is and just had to be 'Shaman's Crossing' No help for it, it had to be read Big Grin

Will share my thoughts on completion Smiling
I *was* working my way through a fourth, or even fifth, attempt at A Game of Thrones. Again, I've put it down and I think that this time I will be putting it down for good. I just cannot stand it (!!) and I can't explain why...

...maybe I'm just the kind of person who needs bunnies and butterflies in my stories and the RotE is the limit that my dark side can reach. Surrender

ps A cute new avatar you have there, KekPafrany! Smiling
Ah, that's answered my question in the ASoIaF thread! It's certainly not to everyone's taste. Terribly brutal and sometimes can be really quite distressing, but nonetheless, I was hooked and totally compelled to keep on reading. It's a shame you can't get into it as I (and thousands more) do consider it to be something of a masterpiece. Plot intricacy, the likes of which I've never seen before, fantastic world-building and of course, those shock/horror moments! Oh and humour, there are some brilliant quotes and one-liners! But still, not for everyone and there's nothing worse than trying to plod through a book that isn't floating your boat at all! Smiling
