To my shame, I'm still on Shaman's Crossing nearly three weeks later! I really am trying to get into it, but it's just not gripping me. I don't know what it is exactly, though I can safely say I find Nevare far too staid for my liking. I know he's meant to be that way, it's how he was brought up and all that, but...Undecided

For all that, however I do think it's going to get better..I like Epiny, she's a great character and her interaction with Nevare is becoming rather interesting. Then there's Nevare's dreams too. I'm going to go on with it and hope my instincts that the series will shape up are correct. Smiling

Finished Dragonlance Legends, and now starting Ray Bradbury's wonderful Fahrenheit 451.

Random event with that book: As I was finishing it for the first time, the song 'Incinerator' by Winterkälte was playing on my headphones. Fitting...
^ P Clapping Very fitting!

We've been chatting over in the Newsgroup about Ray Bradbury since his passing. I have never read anything of his but hope to sometime soon. Fahrenheit 451 sounds like it's one of his most popular works so I just may start there.

As for what I'm reading now, I am with the Night's Watch almost a third of the way through A Game of Thrones. Smiling I am using my book pillow so I can read and iron at the same time. I might post a pic later on. The way my ironing pile is at the moment, I may still be working through it by the closing chapter!! Wink

Ooh! You continued with it then! Are you liking it any better? What's a book pillow? Smiling
If I could get rid of four characters, I think I'd love it...I hope they soon prove to be in the group of 'people are always dying' in this series! I just want to skip their chapters but know I can't. Mad

As for a book pillow, haha, it's actually called a Book Seat (duh, read the label, Farseer! 22 ) and here are some pics:

It's a natty little thing that holds your book while you're in bed (with your hands under the blankets when it's cold), ironing, washing up etc, etc... Big Grin

It seems pretty comfy Smiling

How cool is that? I want one! P

Oh and please do tell which four characters you are misliking
If Arya, Dany or Tyrion are in that list, I'll permanently block Farseer P
Dany, I could live without, she winds me up the wrong way Ouch

But without Dany no Missandei.

Oh, and if the list does NOT include Sansa I'll block her too P
