To those things together I would instantly say "A red sky at night, a shepherd's delight; a red sky in the morning, a shepherd's warning" but I can't see a single cloud in your picture! Truly a glorious morning, joost!! Smiling

We used to say 'sailor' not 'shepherd'....

Nice sunrise Joost! I don't see many of those myself Uhhuh

Awwww I had to go read it ...... *sniffle* Blushing
My niece allowed me to wear her pink hat today.

These beings have seen hats that are a lot worse... It fits well...
I'm a fan...that's a nice colour on you! Good one, joost! Big Grin Clapping

Yeah, pink looks good on me Big Grin.

The hat reminds me a bit of Jayne's hat from Firefly:

Went for a walk today, and the forest looked very nice. You can see clearly the damage that last year's two storms caused, but it makes the forest seem more alive

Nice images... The forest there is quite different from what these beings are used to, though they have been in such forest type a few times... (although that was in the Northern hemisphere...)
I agree - nice images! As soon as I saw them, I thought,"Hmm...the 'thul beings could certainly find many ready-made walking sticks in that lot...all set for cutting and carving and 'thulness!" P

As for your hat, joost, I noticed Sheldon had a similar one in a recent 'The Big Bang Theory' episode and I thought immediately of you! Wink
A lot of the wood there is bent, so it would have to be steamed straight, and thats a complex process... At least if one wants to have easily usable walking sticks... for decorative ones, it is not that critical.
Found this in my archives:
