I love meat but I wouldn't be able to stomach the menu...ERK!...as I said to the Newsgroup when I shared the link over there, "I'd rather eat pink sugar cakes and apricot brandy!"

@ FoolishGirl: Love it! Clapping All of these great food ideas...now all I have to do is actually read the books! Big Grin C'mon GRRM, please get the series done so I can get stuck into it... Book

Starting to feel homesick here so heading back to the RotE threads! Boat
These beings think more in the area of "why not both?" Mind you, they prefer eyeballs and such only if they are eating the whole animal, not as a small dish.
Eyeballs! There really is no need to eat eyeballs! Too gross!
These beings doubt there is all that much useful nourishment in eyeballs, but they could be wrong.

Neat! Big Grin

They had a bunch of Food Trucks around NYC and LA when Season 1 was being premiered... selling (or giving out) Game of Thrones "fare." I wished I had been closer to one of those cities. Undecided

Seriously!? I think Martin is more skilled with words when describing food than any other Author I've read. And most of the food he describes sounds SO delicious! Surrender I had a completely different experience than you during those scenes, I suppose. P

Oh he's skilled at writing about it alright, it's the menus themselves that make me gip! They offend my sensibilities! P
Has this ASoIaF food site been mentioned here?

Lovely photography.
I've never heard of half the ingredients in that drink! What on earth is 'Sack?'
Yes, great photography, FoolishGirl! I loved the Valentine's Day ones best! Clapping

Apparently, sack is a strong, dry, sweet, light-colored wine of the sherry family.

Interesting to note that many recipes have "gone missing" off the site, as they will be included in an official GoT cookbook due out in May. I know what my sister is getting for Christmas this year! Stirring
