Apparently it *is* available for Kindle, fool-ish, but I can't find it there yet. After I told the Newsgroup about KekPafrany's find, Robin put the news up on her site and said that it was also available from Amazon...but maybe they aren't as quick as B&N? Even if you don't have a Kindle, you (or, at least, those who live in the US!), can always download the free Nook for PC and read Words Like Coins via the computer?

I managed to download it (NfPC) and also the text example, which ends up being the first two pages of WLC I think, but the rest was unavailable for me to purchase. Like KekPafrany said, it's like looking in through a window but unable to buy...! Still, it was enough to see a little of Tom Kidd's lovely artwork that accompanies the story.

Hopefully it will be available elsewhere soon. Please? Big Grin

I couldn't find it on Amazon. It offered me a selection of poetry books instead! I'll keep trying though, it may turn up at some point..hopefully!

The Seven save us! Have you seen the price of 'A Fantasy Medley' on Amazon? Used copies available from £61.00! And as books go, it's a tiny specimen! Blink
And yet, looking on the US Amazon site, I could get it for £26.00! Plus P&P of course..dunno how much that would be. Everything's so damned expensive over here, it's no wonder I'm destitute!
As it is, if it's only available for US citizens on the Nook, I'd say it'd be the same for the Kindle...so would only be available from Amazon.com, and not Amazon.co.uk, even when it does turn up.

Will confirm that when able though.
Boat I see, we live at the wrong side of the big water Down

I'm sure it will be later avaiable, but I am impatient and curious..

When one can buy it for the Kindle, it must be possible to get it all over the world from Amazon. Sometime ago I've asked Amazon directly because I wantet to buy something from Amazon UK (or .com?) and they told me, that I have to change my german account from Amazon.de to Amazon.uk or Amazon.com. So, it is possible. We will have public holiday on Thursday, so I will have a bit time and try to buy it. I'd love to read Word like Coins Smiling.
Let us know how you go, finella. Slurp

I know that I can't because it just doesn't allow me to scam the system and change my region in any way. I am in Australia and there's nothing that I seem to be able to do about it...and I have definitely tried. Whistling Innocent Big Grin

That must be really annoying. But perhaps you are not alone. Wait until I come back cursing about the technique in general and Amazon in particular Ouch.

Clapping Yay Dance

Now feel free to dig a little deeper into the Mythical Creatures/Folk thread, especially where Pecksies are concerned. Smiling

There's also the A Fantasy Medley/Words Like Coins thread. While it was started for the old release of A Fantasy Medley, we could add any discussions specific to the story of WLC there, to save starting a whole new thread? Just a thought as others may go to that thread to find out info on the newer release, and I can link it back to these previous discussions here re the actual release?

That will leave this thread for 'Searching for...'.
