Robin Hobb wins the Gemmell Legend Award

Robin Hobb has won the 2018 Legend Award for Assassin’s Fate at the Gemmell Awards, as announced at Edge-Lit in Derby, UK yesterday. This is the tenth year of the Gemmell Awards, which are given for fantasy novels in the traditional, heroic, epic or high genres, or in the spirit of David Gemmell’s own work. The Legend Award is given to the fantasy title judged to be the previous year’s best by open vote. Congratulations, Robin!

Robin is visiting Poland and France soon

Next weekend, from the 18th to the 20th of May, Robin Hobb will be at Pyrkon in Poznań, Poland. You can see her schedule here.
After that, she will be at Imaginales in Epinal, France from the 25th to the 27th—the schedule for that is here. She might also be visiting Paris, so stay tuned for updates if you’d like to meet her there.

Blood of Dragons & Her Father’s Sword in Italian

First, The Book of Swords has been translated to Italian and is now available as Il libro delle spade. This anthology contains the most recent Robin Hobb story La spada del padre (Her Father’s Sword).
Also, the long-awaited Italian translation of Blood of Dragons will finally be published in July this year by Fanucci. The book will be released in hardcover, and the publisher is also planning a re-release of the entire Rain Wild Chronicles in paperback. Title or cover art for the translated book has not been revealed yet. As always, bloodmemories.it is your best source for all things Robin Hobb in Italian!
