The Inheritance news roundup vol 2

27 Apr, 2011 filed under: Robin Hobb, Megan Lindholm, Australia, US, Belgium

I’ve probably forgot to post this here : Publisher’s Weekly gave a starred review for the Inheritance and Other Stories! More recently, the Australian Herald Sun published an article about Robin/Megan and the French Wikinews posted an interview done at Trolls&Legends in Belgium (try a translation).
Also a new addition to the appearances calendar, the Garfield Book Company in Tacoma, WA announced they’ve booked Robin to appear for a signing—the date is May 18th at 7pm.
It’s less than a week to the US publication of The Inheritance! Have you preordered your copy yet?

French graphic adaptation of the Farseer continues

26 Feb, 2009 filed under: Robin Hobb, France, Switzerland, Belgium

The second part of the French graphic novel adaptation of the Farseer trilogy will be available on March 16th, 2009. Les Rivages Maudits also has the cover art for it and there are several page samples that can be viewed at their forums. If you live in France, Switzerland or Belgium, you can enter a competition to win a copy here, but there are only a few days left, so hurry.

Like the original French translation, the graphic adaptation will also be in nine parts, covering all the three original books. Each part is reported to be about 47 pages.

Random quote

It was one of those rare days that came sometimes in the midst of winter, a day that reminded one that spring must come sometime, that the life of the forest was sleeping in the dark rich soil under the blanket of cold white snow. The sky was a bottomless blue, the dark green of the pines a stabbing contrast. The white snow held a light of its own, glinting so brightly that Heckram squinted and felt the water rise in his eyes. There was a perfection to the scene that nothing man-made could even imitate.
