Preorder the colouring book now + go vote for AF!

29 Apr, 2018 filed under: Robin Hobb, England/UK, US

If you preorder the Farseer colouring book from Dabel Brothers before the end of April, you get a free poster with your order. Preorder here! Note that this is a different poster from the one that was available at Emerald City Comic Con. And yes, they do ship overseas.

The Gemmell Awards have moved to the shortlist round of voting, and Assassin’s Fate is a finalist in two categories: for the Legend award for the 2017 best fantasy and for the Ravenheart Award, which is given to the best cover illustration. You can vote here until the first of June—but why not do it right away?

A Farseer colouring book is in the works

4 Mar, 2018 filed under: Robin Hobb, US

A Farseer colouring book will be published by Dabel Brothers Publishing this April. The artist for the project is Manuel Preitano. Visitors to this year’s Emerald City Comic Con were treated to these free sample posters which feature Fitz and Nighteyes and were signed by Robin Hobb. An early preview was also posted to Robin’s Facebook back in November, showing some possible examples from the colouring book featuring Chade.

The Dabel Brothers online shop generally ships overseas as well, so most likely the colouring book will available worldwide.

Gemmell Awards + some interviews

17 Feb, 2018 filed under: Robin Hobb, England/UK, US, Germany

The David Gemmell Awards longlist voting has opened. Assassin’s Fate is listed for the Legend Award and its cover art by Jackie Morris and Stephen Raw is listed for the Ravenheart Award. You can vote here until the 30th of March.

Darkstars Fantasy News published a really good interview to coincide with the rerelease of the German translation of the Farseer trilogy. It’s available in German as well as in English.

The Brave New Words podcast had Robin as a guest some time ago. The episode is #2.25 and the interview starts at 42:38.

To mark the occasion of The Wilful Princess and the Piebald Prince being released as a paperback in November, HarperVoyager published a blog post about it written by Robin herself.

New Megan Lindholm story to be published this year

6 Jan, 2018 filed under: Megan Lindholm, England/UK, US

A new Megan Lindholm story titled Community Service will be published later this year in an anthology titled The Book of Magic. The anthology is edited by Gardner Dozois. The Lindholm story is set in contemporary Tacoma and features a protagonist called Celtsie.

See The Book of Magic in PlentyWiki for detailed information on editions and contents.

While the US edition of this book is not yet listed for preorders online, the UK edition has already been added to amazon.co.uk and has a tentative publication date of October 4th. The tentative cover art posted by Dozois seems to make this a matching pair for last year’s The Book of Swords which included the Six Duchies story Her Father’s Sword.
