One of the things I’ve been working on for this site lately are those fancy feeds and bookmarking sites. In addition to the plain RSS feed you can add to your favourite reader, there’s the syndicated livejournal feed, and the bookmark and subscribe options you can see at the top of the page. The latest addition is a Twitter feed. These should help you in keeping up-to-date with the news posted here in any way you prefer. As always, if you have any suggestions about this site, feel free to leave a comment here, or at the forums.

Very cool! Thanks for setting this up. I’m on Twitter as @chrischaeffer and so is @sini74

One cool thing I have done is create a search rss feed for “Robin Hobb” on Twitter. It’s a great way to find new friends that are also interested in Fitz and friends.

I’m still a total newbie there and don’t really understand how everything works and what the sort of social norms of that place are (can you just comment on anything or do you have to “follow” them first etc). But the feed seems to be picking stuff up from here quicker than LJ so that’s cool for those of you who use Twitter. :) Thanks for the link to that search feed!

Twitter is really simple. First it is a place to talk about what you’re doing. Short and sweet. Nothing complicated. You can tweet about anything you want, but typically you want to keep your tweets relevant and interesting, otherwise it’s kinda boring.

Second, if you happen to find someone that is interested in your everyday activities (like what book you might be reading) then you might follow each other. Other than that, it is simply another channel for people to talk and socialize with people like themselves.

It is an odd language, yours. You speak of passing time as in the mountains we speak of passing wind. As if it were a thing to be rid of.
