Free Dragon Keeper ebook

16 Apr, 2010 filed under: Robin Hobb, US will be offering a free digital copy of Dragon Keeper with some bonus material beginning April 27th. Unfortunately the offer is only available for US customers. You can find the free download here.

Of course most of us own a copy already, but like like with the free Assassin’s Apprentice last year, this is a great link to pass around to friends who haven’t yet discovered Robin’s books.

Thanks to chriSchaeffer for the tip!

Jackie Morris (Illustration) and Dominic Forbes (Art Direction) have been shortlisted for the Ravenheart Award for the UK cover art of The Dragon Keeper. The cover is among the top five voted by readers online. The second phase of the David Gemmell Legend awards has started, and it’s again up to us readers to pick our favorites from the shortlists. No registration is required to vote and voting is open to all. (Don’t forget to vote in the other categories as well!) The winners will be announced in June.

Good luck to Jackie, Dominic and Sintara!

Random quote

The brevity of their lives suddenly touched her. In the momentary twinkling of their existence, each of them had tried to aid her. Each had taken time from their mate quest to try to free her. Poor little bugs. It was a small cost to her, these few moments out of the vast store of years to come. She turned a lazy loop in the sweet summer air. Then with strong, steady beats of her wings, she drove herself back towards the buried city.
