Rewinding back to April: Regulus and Classical Reception in Robin Hobb’s “The Triumph”—somehow this very thorough essay on Robin’s story The Triumph by Alex Tardiff had slipped past me unnoticed. It does contain some spoilers for the story, so unless you have already read the story or a familiar with the historical events it is based on, proceed with some caution.

The Triumph was published in March in an anthology titled Warriors. The book contains 20 brand new stories from authors such as Tad Williams, Peter S. Beagle, Naomi Novik, Diana Gabaldon, George R.
