Lord Curl of [[Blackearth]] in [[Buck]] was among the men who killed King [[Charger]]. He was the first to attack the king, and when Lord [[Lock]] tried to stop him, killed him as well. Afterwards he drove the king's hip-knife to Lock's back, attempting to disguise what he had done.

Curl was the younger brother of Lord [[Ulder]]. There were rumours that Lord Curl was behind the slaughter of the dozen piebald horses that happened the night his brother died after a duel with Lord [[Elkwin]]. Lord Curl had a seven year old daughter who was discovered killed in the [[Buckkeep stables]] some time after.
