Willem Timmer's notes on the Hypatia edition
If you own a copy of the Hypatia edition of Wizard, any information you can provide could be helpful (is it signed, numbered, in a case, what kind of binding etc)

::Right. Dug deep into the notes [[Willem]] sent me years ago and here's what I found:

After some correspondence with publisher Alan Bard Newcomer (not sure if email address is still valid) there appeared to be a story behind this confusion. The deluxe edition (the $100 above) was meant to be a blue hardcover, leatherbound, with a matching (also blue leatherbound) Silver Lady & The Fortyish Man, together in a slipcase. After binding the 50 blue hardcover's the bookbinder found out he had not enough 'blue bonded leather' left for the Silver Lady & The Fortyish Man.

Change of plan was to cut short the 250 (lettered with Roman numbers) run of dark gray bonded leather to only 50 copies, and use the remaining leather for the Silver Lady & The Fortyish Man. The limitation page in these 50 dark gray hardcover's is taken from the blue one and tipped into the dark gray ones over their original limitation page of 250. So there where only 50 (or about 50) made. The booksellers use the wrong number 250 (according to the publisher only 50 where made)
