[[Chade]] used "Gere the Tanner's son" as an example when he told Fitz about the way the [[Piebalds]] were posting claims about the [[Witted]]. Gere was claimed to be witted and his beast to be a yellow hound. Whether Gere is a real person or something Chade made up for an example is not knowknown.
