'''The blood plague''' is an illness or disease that seems to come about every few years, killing many before vanishing again. It appears that one is able to recover from the plague, and is possibly comparable to the black plague that was around in medeival europe. Many characters have been killed or know people who have been killed by the blood plague, such as [[Burrich]] and [[Patience]].
The blood plague also killed the sons of [[Ronica Vestrit|Ronica]] and [[Ephron Vestrit]].
