Encountered on the [[Treasure Beach]] by [[Kennit]] and by [[Fitz]] and [[Dutiful]] when travelling through a [[skill-pillar]]. There is some suggestion that they are [[dragons]] who spent too much time in human company and who therefore took on some human characteristics; much as [[Elderling]]s did in reverse. They are somewhat frog-like in appearance with venonous claws. They have the [[Skill]] or some similar magic which they use to alter their appearance to the minds of the unwary. They are terrified of cats.
