'''Ruddy''' is a headstrong stallion. He was given to [[Burrich]] by [[Verity]]. He was still a young horse when he and Sooty carried [[Kettricken]] and [[the Fool]] to the [[Mountain Kingdom]] after [[Regal|BurrichRegal's]] horsecoronation. He was later delivered back to Burrich together with the colt he had sired on [[Sooty]]. One of the final things Burrich said was that Ruddy, instead of [[Brusque]], was to be used on [[Malta]].
