'''Elderling's''' are a race of people from the myths of the [[Six Duchies]], who, by looking at their ancient relics apprently possessed an abbundence abundance of [[Skill]].

Although the descriptions of their physical traights traits are never consistant, it is hinted at that the [[Ambassador]] mentioned in ''The Golden Fool'' is an Elderling (or, at least of Elderling ancestry), thus can be considere considered vaguely humanoid in appearance, almost how a dragon might look if it were human.

It has been speculated by [[The Fool]] that Elderling's were men and women who were priveledged enough for dragon's dragons to allow them to spent most of their lives near them, so much so that the two species became integrated, causing children that were not born often, but when they were, treasured. The dragons opinions on their young that showed human characteristics was not so positive, outcasting such offspring.
