Although the descriptions are never consistent, Elderlings generally have long, slender limbs and unusually vibrant and colorful eyes. Throughout their lives they develop iridescent scaling under their skin, a side effect of living in closeness with dragons.
It is not known whether the bulging, bushy growths experienced by the Rain Wild Traders are apart of the form of an Elderling, or simply an unpleasant mutation resulting from living close to, but not in harmony with dragons.
