The covers were illustrated by [[Michael Whelan]].** The Advance Reading Copy uses the same art but it is in a frame on purple background. * A British English hardcover edition was issued in London by Voyager/HarperCollins in 1996 with ISBN 0002246074, covers illustrated by [[John Howe]]. There are copies with dust jackets marking both £14.99 and £15.99 as the original price in books that by all accounts should all be first editions.
