The dedication in the first UK hardcover edition is the same it was for the first edition of Assassin's Apprentice:

* A British English hardcover edition was issued in London by Voyager/HarperCollins in 1996 with ISBN 0002246074, covers illustrated by [[John Howe]]. There are copies with dust jackets marking both £14.99 and Original price £15.99 as the original price in books that by all accounts should all be first editions. (Change in the middle of printing or a second printing?)
* A US paperback edition was issued in February 1997 with ISBN 0553573411 with the Michael Whelan covers.
