'''Marmalade''' is an orange cat with a white triangle at his throat and blue eyes. He was saved as kitten by [[Hilia Borse]] from a planned drowning by [[Pell]]'s father. Hilia then gifted the cat to her best friend [[Rosemary (Cogsbay)|Rosemary]]. He lives with the woman and her child [[Gillam]] on a small plot of land with a tidy cabin. When Gillam's father Pell returns, Marmalade seeks to protect himself, Rosemary and Gillam from the man's anger.
