'''Assassin's Apprentice''' is the first book in the [[Farseer trilogy]], published in 1995. The second and third books are [[Royal Assassin]] and [[Assassin's Quest]] respectively. This was the [[Robin Hobb|author's]] first book published under the pseudonym ''Robin Hobb''. The working title for the book was ''Chivalry's Bastard'' and the contract for the trilogy was signed on 13th of July in 1993.
