The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. It's not really happening for me. At a loss as to what else to read though. There's a chance I'll go right back into RotE after reading The Inheritance, though it's only a few months since my last read.

Have you read "Green Rider" by "Kristen Britain"? Its a fairly good first book in a series of fantasy novels... (4 books so far and more coming)
There are several points in the books that trigger the emotions of the beings known as 'thul.

Note:
when 'thul write in all italics, it is the lord of the three realms within 'thul speaking. A fairly egoistical, but also somewhat simple-minded dragon. Do not take such posts at face value.

I tried reading that too, Foolish. And couldn't. Ouch

Have you read the Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss, yet? If you haven't, I highly recommend it!!

If you have... pick up the Coldfire Trilogy by C.S. Friedman!

Book

'thul beings, I just looked up the books you recommended (Kristen Britain) and will definitely be giving it a try.

Unfortunately then I'll be tangled in yet ANOTHER series where the author only puts out sequels once every 4-5 years. -_- Guh!

Its just something that happens, that... These books at least do end one part of the story, they do not stop with a flood of questions remaining. easy to pick up (and perhaps a tad hard to put down)

Thanks for the recommendations! I shall go on Amazon forthwith to peruse the blurb etc. I've read 'The Name of the Wind' (twice) and loved it. Wise Man's Fear is on my wish list. Smiling

They both sound really rather good and so have been added to the ever growing list.

I've seen the three Millennium movies. Liked them, but they didn't seem like books I'd like to read.

Still reading Angel (not much time to read these days), after that I'm gonna start the Rome books by Manda Scott. I really enjoyed her Boudica series, so I'm looking forward to those books.

I don't even know why I thought to read it (apart from being all out of new reading material) It's not my cup of tea at all, which I knew before I even opened it. Ah well, nothing ventured, nothing gained I guess. Frustrated now, nothing new to read! Fitz might have to come out of the cupboard again after all! P

a non-spoilerish concept that says a bit about the green rider series...

one person there had, after an accident, decided that she would throttle not only the master-at-arms of the royal castle, but also the king, his bodyguard and one of her own underlings.
The fact that the author includes such instances on multiple occasions indicates the humor that is present.

Including the exact quote would've been more telling, but it might also have given minor spoiler.

Yes, I must! Although Kvothe frustrated me very much at times (much like Fitz did!) I love his character dearly and I'm eager to learn how he came to be where he is now. Patrick Rothfuss is a great storyteller. It took my second read of TNotW to get my head round the 'magic'...all that binding and stuff! But then, that's probably just me being gormless! Blushing

well, in for a penny, in for a pound...throttle one, may as well throttle 'em all while you're at it! Sounds like a good read Smiling
