The land was granted to them by Satrap [[Esclepius]] with the [[Bingtown Charter]]. Originally, they moved near the [[Rain Wild River]], but soon settled the relatively stable land that became Bingtown. Some of the families stayed behind and founded [[Trehaug]] and became [[Rain Wild Traders]].
All Old Trader families have a vote in the [[Bingtown Council]]. Old Trader families may own [[Liveship|Liveships]] if they commission and buy one from a Rain Wild Trader family.
