* A Dutch translation ''Overgangsritueel (De Boeken van de Zoon van de Krijger, Eerste Boek)'' was published by Uitgeverij Luitingh –Sijthoff B. V., Amsterdam in 2005, ISBN 9024553687 (hardcover). John Howe's cover art was flipped so that the sword is in the back cover and the forest image in the front.
* A French translation was published in two parts, ''La déchirure'' is planned to be was released in October 26th 2006and ''La Cavalier Rêveur'' 5th of January 2007. As with many of Hobb's French * A German translation, the original is split to several volumes, this being the first part of ''Shaman's CrossingTraumbrücke''was published in February 2007 with ISBN 3890644694. * A Polish translation is scheduled for 2008 by MAG.
