It was originally written as just one book by Robin Hobb, set titled "The Dragon Keeper" but it was so long that the publishers decided to happen in the split it (much like happened with [[Rain WildsThe Reindeer People]] after the events of  and [[FoolWolf's FateBrother]].This will be a single book, but since the story got longer than anticipated, it will be published in ) Part two volumesis [[Dragon Haven]]. It is not a direct continuation of the the [[Liveship Traders trilogy]]. We will see some glimpses of familiar characters, but it does take place in the main story line will follow new characters [[Rain Wilds]] and [[Bingtown]] a short time after the eventsin [[Fool's Fate]]. The Like the Liveship books, the story is told in third person and is told by . There are four view point charactersand we meet some old friends in passing.
