A term for the Witted, possibly Chalcedean. Fitz records the name in a tale of a girl who died of sorrow when her parents forbid her to wed the man she loved. When she passed, a she-bear that was her Wit-companion took her spirit into her keeping, and three nights later dug up her grave and restored her spirit into her body. This tale was the basis of Burrich's decision to give Fitz poison when he was dying in Regal's dungeons, despite the tale having a sad ending as the girl's true love refused her due to her having changed too much after being in a bear's body.
