Varta leaves

Varta leaves are a poisonous herb with a strong taste and smell.

Lady Thyme was given a gift basked than contained spicy sausages that had been tampered with varta leaves crushed into a fine powder. Luckily for Chade and Fitz, the weasel Slink got to them first and in his attempt to stuff his mouth full, discovered the bad taste and quickly disgorged.
