Appearance and Description

Davad is a slightly portly man who can't quite grasp social niceties. Ever since his wife passed away, he has not kept up appearances very well. He dresses is fine clothing and is always well groomed, but there is always something that is ill-kempt, tailored improperly, or not cared for properly. He lacks tact and will often say things that sound like insults or are in poor taste. He is a social outcast due to all of this and grasps after relevance and status.

History

After Dorill and his children's death, Davad got himself in trouble with other Old Traders. He started trading slaves, socializing, and brokering deals with the New Traders. Davad gave Rache to Ronica ostensibly so the Vestrits would have help around the house. However, Rache blames Davad for the death of her child, which happened during transport on the slave ship. He has been the middle man in the offers the New Traders have made to the Ludluck family concerning Paragon. Only the Vestrits still call him a friend as he is called the 'Traitor Trader' by some of the Old Traders.

Davad's loyalty lies with Satrap Cosgo and Jamaillia. Because Davad blames the blood plague on the Rain Wild Traders and the magic that comes from that area, he latches on to what he thinks should be the future of Bingtown. Davad worked hard to garner relationships with the New Traders that were coming into Bingtown and even hosted Cosgo at his estate when the Satrap visited Bingtown.

Death

After the Summer Ball, where Malta Vestrit is presented, Davad's carriage was attacked. He was thrown from the roof and died when Cosgo and Kekki, were kidnapped by the Rain Wilders. This attack was proposed by Serilla and the planning was carried out by Reyn Khuprus.
