Tarman expedition

The Tarman Expedition refers to the exodus of the dragons hatched near Cassarick and their journey upriver towards Kelsingra.

Tintaglia, the dragon, guided sea serpents to cocooning grounds nearby. The people of the Rain Wilds took care of the cocoons until they hatched. Because they couldn't hunt for themselves due to their age and short developmental period, the dragons were soon a burden on the Rain Wild society, as they couldn't keep up with the resource demand. The expedition was agreed upon by the Rain Wild Trader Council and a crew was assembled. There were different groups assigned to different tasks. Keepers volunteered to take care of dragons, hunters signed up to supply food, and Tarman, the first liveship captained by Leftrin, signed up to accompany them. The journey was joined by Alise Kincarron and Sedric Meldar; the former signed up as an elderling, dragon, and Kelsingra expert and consultant, and the latter was her friend and companion.

The expedition reached their goal and started resettling Kelsingra and the area around the city.
