A deck hand aboard Paragon during the attempt to rescue Vivacia, former rapist.

He tries to rape Althea Vestrit onboard Paragon. She fights him off, shows herself as a capable second mate, and he begs to be transferred off of her shift to Lavoy's shift.

Once Lavoy betrays the Paragon's crew and abandons ship in Divvytown, Artu is not heard from again. Presumably, he jumped ship with Lavoy.
